Happy Birthday

It is our little red mans' eighth birthday today. Well ronan I have no idea where the past eight years have gone, it has been so quick. We have had some tears, some laughs, some bad time and a lot of good ones. You are a young man that will keep your mum and I on our toes for some years to come. You certainly show that you love your older brother aand you sisters, you want so much to be like the older ones that sometimes you drive them to distraction with your actions. You can size up any person you meet in a very short space of time and you have the instinct to know how to push thier buttons at anytime you wish. Your are a clever little man when it comes to making things with your leggo. and you like to have a go at most things. You deal with challenges in your own special way. with all your good points and your bad ones, this is just my way to say that we will always love you our LIL RED MAN'

Here we are then

Well it has been quite some time since I got on here and had something to say, all I can say is we have been busy, we have been sick, we have been doing kid stuff, we have had a family funeral, we have been dealing with 7 yr old dental pain, and all kinds of other fun Mason family stuff.
Here is our latest family photo, not looking too bad here but I tell you what before Alan sorted it out with some editing it (and the other ones, Kids only and adults only) looked decidedly crappy. Shadows and just rotten editing left a lot to be desired.

So the big news as He who is charge (because I said he could be LOL) has succinctly stated in previous posts is that Dr sent him for Spirometry testing and it has come back with severe irreversible emphysema - Strike that man off the christmas card list.
So I actually stopped smoking before this wonderful (NOT) news and I am now into my 2nd month of been a non smoker.
Alan is now into week 3 (although very lucky to get past day 3 lmao) Go Alan I say, as on a previous attempt he got to week 3 and that was the end of that.

So on the scrappy front, Neen and I are going to Paper Parfait in Sept, this is a 2 day scrappy event been held in Palmy North.
I have paid my deposit and booked airfares to Chch for the Scrappin Patch retreat in March 2010, gonna be a blast with Danice, Nic (and her bestie Debs) and Dallas and her Dunedin crew.
And I spent far too much at my first Stampin Up party, but thats cool cos we have disposable income hehehe

Right thats all for now,
Ciao

Day 3

Oops I forgot to post yesterday. Well still not smoking, had a minor melt down yesterday but everyone survived. Went to work today and even though I still had smoko with the smokers It was still not a problem thankfully. The biggest problem that I am having is to find something to do with my hands at times. Still one day at a time and hopefully we will get there.

Day 1

Well it has been an interesting day, no I have not touched a cigarette. We took the cave dwellers out to perform my least favourite activity in the universe, that is shopping and to make matters worse it was clothes shopping. Four kids and rack after rack of clothing it bring shivers to the spine just thinking about it. Okay so everyone survived and with no melt down from dad due to kids playing silly beggars. After getting through this heinous act, Mrs mummy thinks it time to visit her parents. Ok she did have just cause as it was her dads birthday earlier in the week and we had not had thee chance to see him. Still not one of my favourite passtimes as her parents are some what trying at the best of times. All went well and we finally made it home, we then find out that a vivid pen has gone through the wash and the dryer wrecking sevral items of clothing. Not the new stuff thankfully. I am not sure who is most surprised that I have not gone ballistic, the kids or mummy.
So far so good
I SHALL POST AGAIN TOMORROW

The only thing to say is "BUGGA"

Well that has torn it, the Doctor has finally decided that I have emphasema, mrs mummy is not a happy camper. Now I have to figure out how to change a forty year old habit and become a non smoker. Well I give the mrs full marks, she has been smoking for a number of years and has not had a smoke for the past four weeks. So if she can do it cold turkey then I should be able to with all the support things we have in place. I have the patches and the lollie things cos I don't do chewing gum and I have even got an electronic cigarette. So wish me luck. I shall keep you posted on how I get on. This could be an interesting journey.
